Female patient, 21 years of age, was diagnosed with threatened labour and was treated with Nicardipine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: acute pulmonary oedema, albuminuria, blood calcium decreased, blood lactate dehydrogenase increased, blood magnesium decreased, blood ph increased, blood potassium decreased, blood pressure diastolic decreased, blood urea decreased. Nicardipine dosage: 2 MG. During the same period patient was treated with BETAMETHASONE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
