Female patient, 61 years of age, weighting 143.3 lb, was diagnosed with rotator cuff repair and was treated with Neostigmine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood pressure increased, cardiac arrest
, heart rate increased, hypercapnia, neuromuscular block prolonged, somnolence. Neostigmine dosage: 42.6 MG/KG; X1; IV. During the same period patient was treated with CLONIDINE, FENTANYL, ROPIVACAINE, PROPOFOL, ROCURONIUM BROMIDE, SEVOFLURANE, DEXAMETHASONE, ONDANSETRON. Neostigmine side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from GREECE on Feb 26, 2006. Male patient, 19 years of age, was diagnosed with neuromuscular blockade reversal and was treated with Neostigmine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood pressure decreased, bronchospasm, heart rate increased. Neostigmine dosage: 0.05 MG/KG, INTRAVENOUS. During the same period patient was treated with KETAMINE, FENTANYL, PANCURONIUM BROMIDE, OXYGEN, HALOTHANE. Patient recovered.
