Montelukast side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on Sept 15, 2008. Male patient, child 5 years of age, weighting 43.00 lb, was diagnosed with food allergy , rhinitis allergic and was treated with Montelukast. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: chills, fear, formication, sleep terror. Montelukast dosage: 4 MG ONCE DAILY IN A.M. PO. During the same period patient was treated with NASONEX, LORATADINE. Patient recovered.

Female patient, 48 years of age, weighting 145.0 lb, was diagnosed with asthma  and was treated with Montelukast. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: asthma , body temperature decreased, chills, heart rate increased, pyrexia, white blood cell count increased. Montelukast dosage: 7 MG;DAILY;IV. During the same period patient was treated with SUMILU, CHLORIDE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
