Modafinil and abdominal pain upper Patient Reports February 11, 2012

Modafinil Side Effects Report #6078583-8
Modafinil side effect was reported by a Health Professional from FRANCE on Feb 05, 2009. Male patient, 38 years of age, was diagnosed with narcolepsy, waxy flexibility, ankylosing spondylitis  and was treated with Modafinil. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain upper, ankylosing spondylitis , hyperhidrosis, waxy flexibility. Modafinil dosage: 400 MG QD ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with XYREM, ENBREL, APPROVEL. Patient died on 12/11/2008.

Male patient, 44 years of age, weighting 191.0 lb, was diagnosed with depressed level of consciousness and was treated with Modafinil. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain upper, bronchitis , chills, condition aggravated, diarrhoea, nausea , sinus disorder. Modafinil dosage: 200 MG TAB 2 TABS DAILY PO. Patient recovered.
