Mitoxantrone side effect was reported by a Health Professional from UNITED STATES on Nov 01, 2006. Female patient, 59 years of age, was diagnosed with secondary progressive multiple sclerosis and was treated with Mitoxantrone. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: myelodysplastic syndrome, pneumonia . Mitoxantrone dosage: 12 MG/M2 EVERY 3 MONTHS IV DRIP. During the same period patient was treated with TYLENOL, POTASSIUM ACETATE, RESTORIL, LASIX. Patient died on 10/22/2006.

During the same period patient was treated with DOXORUBICIN, VINCRISTINE, ETOPOSIDE, LEUKERAN, PREDNISONE, PREDNISOLONE, CYCLOPHOSPHAMIDE, IFOSFAMIDE. Patient died.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: central line infection, condition aggravated, febrile neutropenia, hypotension, oxygen saturation decreased, pleural effusion, pneumonia . Mitoxantrone dosage: 16.7 MG QD IV. During the same period patient was treated with CYTARABINE, ETOPOSIDE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
