Mitoxantrone Side Effects Report #5755508-3
Mitoxantrone side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from UNITED STATES on May 30, 2008. Male patient, 69 years of age, weighting 206.8 lb, was diagnosed with prostate cancer  and was treated with Mitoxantrone. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood homocysteine increased, cerebral infarction, cerebrovascular accident, dysarthria, dysphagia, fatigue, haemoglobin decreased, hypoaesthesia, leukopenia. Mitoxantrone dosage: 12 MG/M2 Q3W - INTRAVENOUS DRIP. During the same period patient was treated with PREDNISONE, HYDRALAZINE, NYSTATIN, HYDROCORTISONE, VICODIN, OXYCODONE, SENNA, OMEPRAZOLE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: acute promyelocytic leukaemia, bone marrow transplant , haemoglobin decreased, platelet count decreased, vaginal haemorrhage. Mitoxantrone dosage: 12 MG/M2 INTRAVENOUS ; 12 MG/M2 , INTRAVENOUS ; 10 MG/M2 INTRAVENOUS ; 8 MG/M2 INTRAVENOUS ; 8 MG/M2. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: asthenia, b-cell lymphoma stage iv, diabetes mellitus, follicle centre lymphoma diffuse small cell lymphoma, haemoglobin decreased, pyrexia, weight decreased. Mitoxantrone dosage: 8MG/M2, DAY 2 ONLY, IV. During the same period patient was treated with PROCRIT, RED BLOOD CELLS, RITUXIMAB, FLUDARABINE, OXALIPLATIN, DEXAMETHASONE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
