Mitoxantrone side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from CANADA on Jan 29, 2007. Female patient, 32 years of age, was diagnosed with relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis and was treated with Mitoxantrone. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal distension, cardiac failure, cardiogenic shock, cardiotoxicity, cough, disseminated intravascular coagulation, dyspnoea, hypotension. Mitoxantrone dosage: 8 MG/M2 MONTHLY UNK. Patient died on 01/01/2007.

Male patient, 44 years of age, was diagnosed with myeloid leukaemia and was treated with Mitoxantrone. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: dialysis , dyspnoea, gastrointestinal haemorrhage, hepatic failure, multi-organ failure, pulmonary haemorrhage, renal failure acute, werner's syndrome. Mitoxantrone dosage: 80 MG/M2, 1 IN 1 DAYS. During the same period patient was treated with CYTARABINE, ETOPOSIDE. Patient died.

Female patient, 34 years of age, weighting 165.3 lb, was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis  and was treated with Mitoxantrone. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cardiac arrest , cardiac disorder, dyspnoea, oedema. Mitoxantrone dosage: 23 MG, 1 IN 3 MONTHS. During the same period patient was treated with GLATIRAMER ACETATE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 10/22/2003.
