Minoxidil side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on July 11, 2007. Male patient, 73 years of age, weighting 149.9 lb, was diagnosed with hypertension and was treated with Minoxidil. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: oedema peripheral. Minoxidil dosage: 2.5 MG QD, 2.5MG QD, ORAL. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cardiac failure chronic, insulin-requiring type 2 diabetes mellitus, obesity , oedema peripheral, petechiae, pulmonary oedema, purpura, umbilical hernia, wound . Minoxidil dosage: 10 MG EVERYDAY PO. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood creatinine increased, blood pressure diastolic increased, blood pressure inadequately controlled, bradycardia, dyspnoea, fatigue, gout , oedema peripheral, pericardial effusion. Minoxidil dosage: 10 MG BID PO. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Minoxidil dosage: 2.5 MG (2.5 MG, 1 IN 1 D). During the same period patient was treated with PROCRIT, ALLOPURINOL, MYCOPHENOLIC ACID, CELLCEPT, PREDNISONE, LIPITOR, ATENOLOL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
