Minirin and ascites Patient Reports February 11, 2012

Minirin Side Effects Report #5939154-4
Minirin side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from INDIA on Oct 24, 2008. Female patient, child 5 years of age, was diagnosed with diabetes insipidus  and was treated with Minirin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: ascites, budd-chiari syndrome, hepatic enzyme increased, hepatic failure, hepatosplenomegaly, renal failure, vena cava thrombosis. Minirin dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with PREDNISOLONE, LEOTHYROXINE, PHENYTOIN, RANITIDINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: ascites, blood bilirubin increased, budd-chiari syndrome, hepatic enzyme increased, hepatic failure, hepatosplenomegaly, jaundice , renal failure, respiratory distress. Minirin dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with PREDNISOLONE, LEVOTHYROXINE, PHENYTOIN, RANITIDINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died.
