Miglitol Side Effects Report #5282065-0
Miglitol side effect was reported by a Physician from JAPAN on Mar 20, 2007. Male patient, 65 years of age, was diagnosed with diabetes mellitus and was treated with Miglitol. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal distension, diarrhoea, haematochezia, intestinal ischaemia. Miglitol dosage: DAILY DOSE:225MG. During the same period patient was treated with WARFARIN POTASSIUM, DIGOXIN, MAINTATE, PARAMIDIN, LIPITOR, BASEN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain , diarrhoea, oedema, swelling face. Miglitol dosage: 150 MG, ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with AMARYL, ACTOS, BEZAFIBRATE. Patient died on 07/01/2006.
