Methyldopa side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from INDIA on Nov 17, 2008. Female patient, 26 years of age, was diagnosed with hypertension and was treated with Methyldopa. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: heart rate increased, hydrops foetalis, hypertensive crisis, phaeochromocytoma. Methyldopa dosage: 750 MG, PO. During the same period patient was treated with NIFEDIPINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: condition aggravated, dehydration, hypertension, hypertensive crisis, thrombocytopenia. Methyldopa dosage: unknown. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
