Methylcellulose side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from UNITED STATES on Apr 03, 2008. Female patient, 65 years of age, was diagnosed with gastrointestinal disorder, vitamin supplementation and was treated with Methylcellulose. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood calcium increased, blood chloride decreased, blood sodium decreased, glomerular filtration rate decreased, renal failure, renal impairment. Methylcellulose dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with VITAMIN, DOCUSATE, FISH OIL, CALCIUM WITH VITAMIN D, LISINOPRIL, ATORVASTATIN CALCIUM, ATENOLOL. Patient recovered.
