Methimazole side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on Mar 31, 2009. Male patient, 77 years of age, was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and was treated with Methimazole. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: hepatic enzyme increased, hyperbilirubinaemia. Methimazole dosage: 20 MG BID PO. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Male patient, 42 years of age, was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and was treated with Methimazole. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: alanine aminotransferase increased, aspartate aminotransferase increased, basedow's disease, gastrointestinal haemorrhage, hyperbilirubinaemia, post procedural complication, transaminases increased. Methimazole dosage: 30 MG Q6HR-IV. During the same period patient was treated with HYDROCORTISONE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
