Methimazole side effect was reported by a Physician from UNITED STATES on Dec 28, 2005. Female patient, child 12 years of age, weighting 110.2 lb, was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism, heart rate and was treated with Methimazole. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: back pain What is  back pain, headache What is  headache, myalgia, myoclonus, vomiting. Methimazole dosage: 10 MG, QD. During the same period patient was treated with ATENOLOL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Methimazole side effect was reported by a Physician from ITALY on Nov 07, 2008. Female patient, 22 years of age, was diagnosed with basedow's disease and was treated with Methimazole. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: activated partial thromboplastin time prolonged, antiphospholipid antibodies, blood fibrinogen increased, headache What is  headache, hyperreflexia, paraesthesia, vasculitis cerebral. Methimazole dosage: unknown. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
