Methimazole side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from UNITED STATES on Aug 25, 2006. Female patient, 36 years of age, weighting 110.2 lb, was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and was treated with Methimazole. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: alanine aminotransferase abnormal, cholestasis. Methimazole dosage: 20 MG , BID. During the same period patient was treated with PROPRANOLOL HYDROCHLORIDE. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood alkaline phosphatase increased, blood bilirubin increased, cholestasis, jaundice What is  jaundice, pruritus. Methimazole dosage: 10 MG, TID. During the same period patient was treated with PROPRANOLOL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
