Methimazole side effect was reported by a Health Professional from UNITED STATES on Aug 14, 2006. Male patient, 28 years of age, was diagnosed with basedow's disease and was treated with Methimazole. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood alkaline phosphatase increased, blood bilirubin increased, cholestasis, jaundice What is  jaundice, pruritus. Methimazole dosage: 10 MG, TID. During the same period patient was treated with PROPRANOLOL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Methimazole side effect was reported by a Physician from UNITED STATES on Sept 25, 2008. Female patient, 59 years of age, was treated with Methimazole. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: alanine aminotransferase increased, anti-hbs antibody positive, antinuclear antibody positive, aspartate aminotransferase increased, bilirubin conjugated increased, blood alkaline phosphatase increased, blood bilirubin increased, cholecystitis, chromaturia. Methimazole dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with HYZAAR. Patient recovered.
