Female patient, 45 years of age, weighting 101.4 lb, was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and was treated with Methimazole. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain , intestinal dilatation, lung infiltration, neutropenia, pleural effusion, pyrexia, white blood cell count decreased. Methimazole dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with COUMADIN, METOPROLOL TARTRATE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
