After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibody increased, bronchoalveolar lavage abnormal, chest pain , cough, eosinophilia, lung infiltration, night sweats, pneumonitis. Mesalamine dosage: DAILY DOSE: 1500 MILLIGRAM(S). Patient recovered.
