Meropen side effect was reported by a Health Professional from JAPAN on June 30, 2005. Male patient, weighting 17.64 lb, was diagnosed with sepsis What is  sepsis and was treated with Meropen. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: hepatocellular damage. Meropen dosage: unknown. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Male patient, 62 years of age, weighting 187.4 lb, was diagnosed with pyelonephritis, infection prophylaxis, prophylaxis against gastrointestinal ulcer, gastrointestinal motility disorder, prophylaxis of nausea and vomiting and was treated with Meropen. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: bacterial infection What is  bacterial infection, coagulation test abnormal, condition aggravated, endotoxic shock, fungal infection What is  fungal infection, hepatocellular damage, liver disorder, nosocomial infection. Meropen dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with CEFAMEZINE, GASTER, PANTHOL, PURINPERAN, ADONA. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Male patient, 79 years of age, was diagnosed with pneumonia What is  pneumonia, gastrointestinal haemorrhage, cardiac failure and was treated with Meropen. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: ascites, hepatic atrophy, hepatic failure, hepatitis fulminant, hepatocellular damage, upper gastrointestinal haemorrhage. Meropen dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with GASTER, LASIX. Patient died on 06/08/2005.
