Meropen side effect was reported by a Physician from on Dec 13, 2004. Male patient, 86 years of age, weighting 92.59 lb, was diagnosed with pneumonia , dialysis , insomnia, vitamin supplementation, vomiting, pyrexia, constipation , thrombosis prophylaxis and was treated with Meropen. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cerebral haemorrhage, depressed level of consciousness, disseminated intravascular coagulation, liver disorder, melaena, pyrexia, shunt malfunction, vomiting. Meropen dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with CALTAN, LORAMET, VITAMEDIN, GASMOTIN, ROCEPHIN, FORSENID, BAYASPIRIN. Patient recovered.

Male patient, weighting 127.9 lb, was diagnosed with pneumonia , duodenal ulcer perforation, sedation, upper respiratory tract inflammation and was treated with Meropen. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anuria, blood beta-d-glucan increased, blood culture positive, disease recurrence, disseminated intravascular coagulation, duodenal ulcer perforation, haemodialysis, liver disorder, multi-organ failure. Meropen dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with OMEPRAL, PROPOFOL, PANSPORIN, TAKEPRON, TOCLASE, VOLTAREN. Patient died on 02/25/2006.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: agitation, blood pressure decreased, coma hepatic, condition aggravated, disseminated intravascular coagulation, hepatic failure, hepatitis fulminant, hypoglycaemia, pneumonia . Meropen dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with BROACT, SEDIEL, CLINORIL, CALCIUM CARBONATE, BAYASPIRIN, PROTECADIN, INDERAL LA. Patient died on 12/11/2004.
