Meropen side effect was reported by a Health Professional from JAPAN on Jan 30, 2006. Male patient, 62 years of age, weighting 187.4 lb, was diagnosed with pyelonephritis, infection prophylaxis, prophylaxis against gastrointestinal ulcer, gastrointestinal motility disorder, prophylaxis of nausea and vomiting and was treated with Meropen. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: bacterial infection , coagulation test abnormal, condition aggravated, endotoxic shock, fungal infection , hepatocellular damage, liver disorder, nosocomial infection. Meropen dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with CEFAMEZINE, GASTER, PANTHOL, PURINPERAN, ADONA. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: arthralgia, condition aggravated, gait disturbance, interstitial lung disease, lymphocyte stimulation test positive, myalgia, reflux oesophagitis. Meropen dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with ZITHROMAX, TARIVID, MINOCYCLINE, ERYTHROMYCIN, KLARICID, OMEPRAZOLE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: agitation, blood pressure decreased, coma hepatic, condition aggravated, disseminated intravascular coagulation, hepatic failure, hepatitis fulminant, hypoglycaemia, pneumonia . Meropen dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with BROACT, SEDIEL, CLINORIL, CALCIUM CARBONATE, BAYASPIRIN, PROTECADIN, INDERAL LA. Patient died on 12/11/2004.
