Meropen Side Effects Report #5192191-2
Meropen side effect was reported by a Health Professional from JAPAN on Dec 07, 2006. Male patient, weighting 127.9 lb, was diagnosed with pneumonia What is  pneumonia, duodenal ulcer perforation, sedation, upper respiratory tract inflammation and was treated with Meropen. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anuria, blood beta-d-glucan increased, blood culture positive, disease recurrence, disseminated intravascular coagulation, duodenal ulcer perforation, haemodialysis, liver disorder, multi-organ failure. Meropen dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with OMEPRAL, PROPOFOL, PANSPORIN, TAKEPRON, TOCLASE, VOLTAREN. Patient died on 02/25/2006.

Female patient, 73 years of age, weighting 110.2 lb, was diagnosed with extradural abscess and was treated with Meropen. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: affect lability, back pain What is  back pain, blood beta-d-glucan increased, diverticulum intestinal haemorrhagic, eating disorder What is  eating disorder, hypertension, psychiatric symptom, refusal of treatment by patient. Meropen dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with TIENAM. Patient recovered.
