Meropen side effect was reported by a Health Professional from JAPAN on Aug 19, 2005. Male patient, 97 years of age, weighting 112.4 lb, was diagnosed with pneumonia , hypertension, hyperuricaemia, dysuria, constipation , renal failure chronic and was treated with Meropen. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: acidosis, agitation, brain natriuretic peptide increased, cardiomegaly, haemolytic anaemia. Meropen dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with RENIVACE, NICODEL LA, ALLOPURINOL, HARNAL, SENNOSIDE, LASIX. Patient died on 07/01/2005.

Male patient, 62 years of age, weighting 100.3 lb, was diagnosed with cellulitis , pruritus and was treated with Meropen. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: agitation, blood pressure decreased, coma hepatic, condition aggravated, disseminated intravascular coagulation, hepatic failure, hepatitis fulminant, hypoglycaemia, pneumonia . Meropen dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with BROACT, SEDIEL, CLINORIL, CALCIUM CARBONATE, BAYASPIRIN, PROTECADIN, INDERAL LA. Patient died on 12/11/2004.
