Male patient, child 3 years of age, was diagnosed with acute lymphocytic leukaemia (in remission) and was treated with Mercaptopurine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain , agitation, alanine aminotransferase increased, aspartate aminotransferase increased, blood glucose decreased, blood ph decreased, febrile neutropenia, food craving, hyperhidrosis. Mercaptopurine dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with METHOTREXATE, VINCRISTINE, PREDNISOLONE, LEUCOVORIN RESCUE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
