Mercaptopurine side effect was reported by a Physician from NEW ZEALAND on Jan 20, 2009. Female patient, 33 years of age, was diagnosed with retroperitoneal fibrosis, desmoid tumour, fibromatosis and was treated with Mercaptopurine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain What is  abdominal pain, alanine aminotransferase increased, ascites, aspartate aminotransferase increased, blood albumin decreased, blood alkaline phosphatase increased, disease progression, gamma-glutamyltransferase increased. Mercaptopurine dosage: 100 MG; QD. During the same period patient was treated with TAMOXIFEN CITRATE, TAMOXIFEN CITRATE, SPIRONOLACTONE, FUROSEMIDE, NADOLOL, PARACETAMOL, MORPHINE, METOCLOPRAMIDE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
