Mercaptopurine Side Effects Report #5053132-1
Mercaptopurine side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from CANADA on July 06, 2006. Male patient, 39 years of age, was diagnosed with crohn's disease  and was treated with Mercaptopurine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anaemia, gastrointestinal haemorrhage, gastrointestinal ulcer, stomach discomfort, white blood cell count decreased. Mercaptopurine dosage: 50 MILLIGRAM ORAL. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anaemia, asthenia, gastrointestinal haemorrhage, gastrointestinal ulcer, headache , pharyngolaryngeal pain, white blood cell count decreased. Mercaptopurine dosage: 50 MILLIGRAM ORAL. Patient recovered.

Female patient, 50 years of age, was diagnosed with colitis ulcerative, inflammatory bowel disease, arthralgia and was treated with Mercaptopurine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anaemia, anogenital dysplasia, anogenital warts, human papilloma virus test positive, proctitis. Mercaptopurine dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with PREDNISONE, METRONIDAZOLE, MESALAMINE. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anaemia, hepatic failure, hepatic necrosis, influenza. Mercaptopurine dosage: 4300 MG. During the same period patient was treated with METHOTREXATE, DEXAMETHASONE, VINCRISTINE SULPHATE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
