Mercaptamine side effect was reported by a Physician from FRANCE on Feb 20, 2007. Female patient, child 7 years of age, was diagnosed with cystinosis and was treated with Mercaptamine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain , condition aggravated, lethargy, peritoneal dialysis, renal failure, vomiting. Mercaptamine dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with MERCAPTAMINE BITARTRATE, ERYTHROPOIETIN, CALCIUM CARBONATE, POTASSIUM CHLORIDE, SPIRONOLACTONE, FERROUS SULPHATE, ALFACALCIDOL. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: diabetes mellitus, pancreatitis, renal failure. Mercaptamine dosage: 1200 MG;DAILY;ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with PREDNISOLONE, AZATHIOPRINE, CYCLOSPORINE, LOSARTAN POTASSIUM, AMLODIPINE, LEVOTHYROXINE, CYSTEAMINE. Patient recovered.
