Mercaptamine Side Effects Report #4929558-0
Mercaptamine side effect was reported by a Health Professional from FRANCE on Feb 10, 2006. Male patient, child 9 years of age, was diagnosed with cystinosis and was treated with Mercaptamine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: angiopathy, asthenia, biopsy skin abnormal, blister, blood calcium decreased, blood creatinine increased, cerebral ischaemia, clonus, complement factor c3 decreased. Mercaptamine dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with MERCAPTAMINE BITARTRATE, MERCAPTAMINE BITARTRATE, CALCIUM GLUCONATE. Patient died on 11/09/2004.

Mercaptamine side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from FRANCE on Aug 24, 2006. Male patient, child 10 years of age, was diagnosed with cystinosis and was treated with Mercaptamine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abasia, abnormal behaviour, agitation, anaemia, arthralgia, asthenia, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder, blood calcium decreased, blood parathyroid hormone decreased. Mercaptamine dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with CYSTEAMINE, GROWTH HORMONE, ERYTHROPOIETIN, ACE INHIBITOR NOS. Patient recovered.
