Mercaptamine side effect was reported by a Physician from FRANCE on Nov 19, 2007. Male patient, child 11 years of age, was diagnosed with cystinosis and was treated with Mercaptamine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anuria, blood creatinine increased, blood potassium increased, coma, convulsion, csf protein increased, electroencephalogram abnormal, haemodialysis, herpes virus infection. Mercaptamine dosage: 160 MG. During the same period patient was treated with CALCIDIA, EPOGEN, GROWTH HORMONE, POTASSIUM BICARBONATE, CYSTEAMINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anuria, blood creatinine increased, blood potassium increased, coma, convulsion, csf protein increased, glasgow coma scale abnormal, haemodialysis. Mercaptamine dosage: 1600 MG; 100 MG; 4 TIMES A DAY; 200 MG; 4 TIMES A DAY. During the same period patient was treated with MERCAPTAMINE BITARTRATE, MERCAPTAMINE BITARTRATE, MERCAPTAMINE BITARTRATE, CALCIDIA, EPOGEN, GROWTH HORMONE, POTASSIUM BICARBONATE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
