Meperidine Side Effects Report #5333408-0
Meperidine side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on May 22, 2007. Male patient, 72 years of age, was diagnosed with surgery  and was treated with Meperidine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: hypotension, loss of consciousness. Meperidine dosage: 50MG ONCE IV. During the same period patient was treated with MIDAZOLAM. Patient recovered.

Female patient, 81 years of age, weighting 111.6 lb, was diagnosed with pain , infection  and was treated with Meperidine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anxiety , blood pressure systolic increased, blood sodium decreased, convulsion, dyspnoea, eye rolling, gaze palsy, loss of consciousness, tremor. Meperidine dosage: 50MG 2 DOSES IV BOLUS. During the same period patient was treated with CIPROFLOXACIN. Patient recovered.

Meperidine dosage: 100 MG Q3H IV. During the same period patient was treated with PROMETHAZINE, INDERAL, LEXAPRO, IMITREX, AMBIEN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
