Meperidine Side Effects Report #5894446-2
Meperidine side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on Sept 23, 2008. Male patient, 44 years of age, weighting 219.1 lb, was diagnosed with procedural pain, sedation and was treated with Meperidine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: hypoxia. Meperidine dosage: 75 MG ONCE IV. During the same period patient was treated with MIDAZOLAM. Patient recovered.

Meperidine side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on Sept 09, 2008. Female patient, 51 years of age, weighting 110.0 lb, was diagnosed with pain , antiemetic supportive care and was treated with Meperidine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cardio-respiratory arrest, hypotension, hypoxia, loss of consciousness, respiratory depression, somnolence. Meperidine dosage: 125 MG ONCE IV. During the same period patient was treated with PROMETHAZINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Meperidine side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on Sept 07, 2005. Female patient, 84 years of age, weighting 138.0 lb, was diagnosed with endoscopy  and was treated with Meperidine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cardiopulmonary failure, duodenal ulcer, gastric ulcer perforation, hypoxia, procedural complication, upper gastrointestinal haemorrhage. Meperidine dosage: 25 MG IV X 1. During the same period patient was treated with MIDAZOLAM, LASIX, LOPRESSOR, AMLODIPINE, LANTUS, PREVACID, FRAGMIN. Patient died on 07/26/2005.
