Female patient, 46 years of age, weighting 187.4 lb, was diagnosed with sickle cell anaemia with crisis and was treated with Meperidine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: convulsion, sickle cell anaemia with crisis. Meperidine dosage: 100 MG Q 2 H PRN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
