Megestrol side effect was reported by a Physician from UNITED STATES on Oct 12, 2007. Male patient, 20 years of age, was diagnosed with cachexia and was treated with Megestrol. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: adrenal insufficiency, androgen deficiency, candidiasis, erythema, full blood count decreased, haemoglobin decreased, heart rate increased, hypoalbuminaemia, hyponatraemia. Megestrol dosage: 600 MG; QD;. During the same period patient was treated with FLUCONAZOLE, TRIMETHOPRIM, SULFAMETHOXAZOLE, MORPHINE, METHOTREXATE, GEMCITABINE, DOXORUBICIN, IFOSFAMIDE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Megestrol dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with METHOTREXATE, FLUCONAZOLE, MORPHINE, GEMCITABINE, DOXORUBICIN, IFOSFAMIDE, TRIMETHOPRIM, BROAD. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
