Megestrol side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from UNITED STATES on Sept 11, 2008. Female patient, 92 years of age, was diagnosed with weight control  and was treated with Megestrol. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abasia, abdominal pain upper, asthenia, back pain , confusional state, convulsion, delirium, delusion, dyspnoea. Megestrol dosage: 2 TEASPOONSFUL BY MOUTH DAILY (10ML). Patient was hospitalized and became disabled. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: adrenal insufficiency, cardiac murmur, delirium, hypotension, pneumonia , respiratory acidosis, sinus tachycardia. Megestrol dosage: unknown. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Female patient, 80 years of age, was diagnosed with decreased appetite, pneumonia , adrenal insufficiency and was treated with Megestrol. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cardiac murmur, cough, delirium, dyspnoea, respiratory acidosis, secondary adrenocortical insufficiency, sinus tachycardia. Megestrol dosage: 400MG. During the same period patient was treated with LEVOFLOXACIN, DEXAMETHASONE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
