Megace side effect was reported by a Health Professional from UNITED STATES on Apr 25, 2006. Male patient, 79 years of age, weighting 110.0 lb, was diagnosed with lung neoplasm malignant, weight decreased and was treated with Megace. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood sodium decreased, cachexia, chest x-ray abnormal, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, dyspnoea, emphysema, haemoglobin decreased, heart rate increased, respiratory distress. Megace dosage: 800MG/DAY. During the same period patient was treated with DOCETAXOL, ERBITUX, ADVOIR, COMBIVENT, OXYGEN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal distension, asthenia, blood creatinine decreased, blood glucose increased, food intolerance, haemoglobin decreased, laboratory test abnormal, nausea , pneumothorax. Megace dosage: 800MG/DAY. During the same period patient was treated with DOCETAXEL, ERBITUX, ADVOIR, COMBIVENT, OXYGEN. Patient died on 04/21/2006.

Megace dosage: 650 MG QDAY PO. During the same period patient was treated with TYLENOL W, PLAVIX, VYTORIN, TOPROL, CARAFATE, STOMATITISTURE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain , aspartate aminotransferase increased, blood alkaline phosphatase increased, blood cortisol abnormal, condition aggravated, haemoglobin decreased, mean cell volume increased, osteoporosis , spinal compression fracture. Megace dosage: 400 MG TWICE DAILY (NR), PO. During the same period patient was treated with PHENYTOIN, WARFARIN. Patient recovered.

Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
