Mefoxin side effect was reported by a Physician from UNITED STATES on Mar 15, 2006. Male patient, 80 years of age, was diagnosed with prophylaxis and was treated with Mefoxin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: acidosis, clostridium colitis, deep vein thrombosis What is  deep vein thrombosis, hypotension, hypoxia, ileal perforation, ileitis, multi-organ failure, peritonitis. Mefoxin dosage: unknown. Patient died.

Male patient, 88 years of age, was diagnosed with bronchitis What is  bronchitis and was treated with Mefoxin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: clostridium colitis, colitis ischaemic, confusional state, lactic acidosis, lethargy, megacolon, mental status changes. Mefoxin dosage: unknown. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died.
