Mefloquine side effect was reported by a Physician from BELGIUM on Sept 01, 2006. Female patient, 60 years of age, was diagnosed with malaria prophylaxis and was treated with Mefloquine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood lactate dehydrogenase increased, cyanosis, headache , hypoxia, interstitial lung disease, leukocytosis, myalgia, rales, respiratory distress. Mefloquine dosage: 250 MG, QW. During the same period patient was treated with ASPIRIN, BISOPROLOL FUMARATE, CIPROFIBRATE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
