Mefenamic side effect was reported by a Physician from UNITED STATES on Feb 08, 2006. Male patient, 69 years of age, was diagnosed with nasopharyngitis and was treated with Mefenamic. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: condition aggravated, haemodialysis, hepatic failure, hepatitis fulminant, pulmonary oedema, rales, renal failure chronic. Mefenamic dosage: 250 MG, TID, PO. During the same period patient was treated with CIPROFLOXACIN HYDROCHLORIDE, CASANMIL. Patient died on 12/25/2004.

Female patient, 50 years of age, was diagnosed with dysmenorrhoea and was treated with Mefenamic. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anal fissure, cholelithiasis, condition aggravated, constipation What is  constipation, duodenal ulcer, gastrooesophageal reflux disease, goitre, hysterectomy What is  hysterectomy. Mefenamic dosage: 750 MG DAILY, PO. During the same period patient was treated with PROVERA, SLOW FE. Patient was hospitalized and became disabled. Patient recovered.
