Medrol Side Effects Report #4765218-7
Medrol side effect was reported by a Physician from JAPAN on Aug 24, 2005. Male patient, 79 years of age, was diagnosed with synovitis and was treated with Medrol. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: decreased appetite, depressed level of consciousness, diabetes mellitus, diabetes mellitus insulin-dependent, diabetic ketoacidosis, hyperglycaemia, malaise, pyrexia. Medrol dosage: 6 MG, ORAL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: condition aggravated, confusional state, diabetes mellitus, disorientation, hyponatraemia, pulmonary congestion, respiratory failure. Medrol dosage: 1 DF (100 MG), ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with VALPROIC ACID. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 10/18/2005.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: acute respiratory distress syndrome, condition aggravated, diabetes mellitus, iatrogenic injury, infection in an immunocompromised host, interstitial lung disease, pneumocystis jiroveci infection, respiratory failure. Medrol dosage: 64 MG (32 MG, INTERVAL: EVERY DAY), ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with ACETYLCYSTEINE, LAMOTRIGINE, CLOBAZAM, OMEPRAZOLE. Patient died on 07/09/2003.
