Maxipime and aphasia Patient Reports February 11, 2012

Maxipime Side Effects Report #5720737-1
Maxipime side effect was reported by a Physician from BELGIUM on Apr 23, 2008. Female patient, 82 years of age, was diagnosed with pseudomonas infection, escherichia sepsis and was treated with Maxipime. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: agitation, aphasia , choreoathetosis, coma, convulsion, depressed level of consciousness, metabolic encephalopathy, myoclonus. Maxipime dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with CIPROFLOXACIN, AUGMENTIN, CORDARONE, ZANTAC, ALLOPURINOL, KAYEXALATE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 11/19/1999.

Male patient, 76 years of age, weighting 101.4 lb, was diagnosed with pseudomonas infection, essential thrombocythaemia and was treated with Maxipime. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: aggression, aphasia , confusional state, dysphagia, renal failure, status epilepticus. Maxipime dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with GARAMYCIN, TIENAM, ASPIRIN, PANTOZOL, CONCOR, SYMBICORT, SERESTA, DAFALGAN EFFER. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 10/19/2004.
