Maprotiline side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from JAPAN on Aug 18, 2005. Female patient, 76 years of age, was diagnosed with depression  and was treated with Maprotiline. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: akinesia, aphasia , catatonia, cerebral atrophy, cerebral infarction, regressive behaviour, staring. Maprotiline dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with MAPROTILINE HYDROCHLORIDE. Patient recovered.
