Macrodantin side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on Apr 07, 2006. Female patient, 50 years of age, weighting 103.0 lb, was diagnosed with urinary tract infection  and was treated with Macrodantin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal distension, anorexia, blood pressure decreased, dyspnoea, fluid retention, full blood count abnormal, headache , influenza like illness, myalgia. Macrodantin dosage: 100 MG TWICE A DAY PO (3 DOSES). Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Female patient, 76 years of age, weighting 140.0 lb, was diagnosed with cystitis and was treated with Macrodantin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain upper, chills, dysentery, feeling hot and cold, haematemesis, headache , hyperacusis, hyperhidrosis, nausea . Macrodantin dosage: 100 MG, 4/DAY, ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with DILANTIN, VITAMIN D, CARTIA. Patient recovered.
