Macrodantin side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from AUSTRALIA on Nov 23, 2007. Female patient, 74 years of age, was diagnosed with urinary tract infection  and was treated with Macrodantin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: alopecia, anaemia, atrial fibrillation , cardiac disorder, chills, dehydration, faecal incontinence, feeling cold. Macrodantin dosage: 100 MG, ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with PREMARIN, NEXIUM. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain upper, chills, dysentery, feeling hot and cold, haematemesis, headache , hyperacusis, hyperhidrosis, nausea . Macrodantin dosage: 100 MG, 4/DAY, ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with DILANTIN, VITAMIN D, CARTIA. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain upper, body temperature fluctuation, chills, diarrhoea, dysentery, erythema multiforme, feeling hot and cold, haematemesis, hallucination. Macrodantin dosage: 100 MG, 4/DAY, ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with DILANTIN, VITAMIN D, CARTIA, ISOPTIN, FOSAMAX, PANTOPRAZOLE. Patient recovered.

Macrodantin dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with CELEBREX, PLAQUENIL. Patient recovered.
