Macrobid Side Effects Report #5739598-X
Macrobid side effect was reported by a Physician from CANADA on Apr 25, 2008. Female patient, 77 years of age, weighting 78.93 lb, was diagnosed with urinary tract infection  and was treated with Macrobid. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: activities of daily living impaired, collagen-vascular disease, dyspnoea, economic problem, fatigue, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, interstitial lung disease, oral intake reduced, pleural fibrosis. Macrobid dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with ZESTRIL, AZATHIOPRINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died.

Female patient, 72 years of age, weighting 125.9 lb, was diagnosed with infection prophylaxis and was treated with Macrobid. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: autoimmune thyroiditis, chills, cough, erythema, hepatic enzyme increased, interstitial lung disease, lung infiltration, pneumonitis, pyrexia. Macrobid dosage: 100 MG DAILY, ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with FOSAMAX, SYNTHROID, VAGIFEM, CALCIUM, VITAMIN B. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: activities of daily living impaired, collagen-vascular disease, fatigue, interstitial lung disease, oral intake reduced, pulmonary fibrosis , renal impairment, shock, weight decreased. Macrobid dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with ZESTRIL, AZATHIOPRINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
