Macrobid side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from UNITED STATES on Apr 14, 2006. Female patient, 90 years of age, weighting 130.0 lb, was diagnosed with urinary tract infection  and was treated with Macrobid. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: fall , hepatic failure. Macrobid dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with NITROFURANTOIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 03/27/2006.

Female patient, 51 years of age, weighting 147.0 lb, was diagnosed with cystoscopy, stent placement and was treated with Macrobid. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain upper, confusional state, hepatic failure, jaundice , nausea . Macrobid dosage: 100MG Q DAY PO. During the same period patient was treated with UROGESIC BLUE, UNIRETIC, CATAPRES, LOPID, NAPROSYN, GLYBURIDE, LORTAB. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
