Macrobid side effect was reported by a Health Professional from UNITED STATES on Aug 10, 2006. Female patient, 60 years of age, was diagnosed with urinary tract infection , sinusitis  and was treated with Macrobid. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain , fatigue, hepatic enzyme increased, jaundice , nausea , urine colour abnormal. Macrobid dosage: 100 MG DAILY, ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with KETEK, ALLEGRA, TYLENOL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: autoimmune thyroiditis, chills, cough, erythema, hepatic enzyme increased, interstitial lung disease, lung infiltration, pneumonitis, pyrexia. Macrobid dosage: 100 MG DAILY, ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with FOSAMAX, SYNTHROID, VAGIFEM, CALCIUM, VITAMIN B. Patient recovered.

Female patient, 67 years of age, was diagnosed with infection prophylaxis and was treated with Macrobid. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: antinuclear antibody positive, dysphagia, dyspnoea, foreign body trauma, hepatic enzyme increased, oesophageal stenosis, oesophagitis, pulmonary fibrosis . Macrobid dosage: 100 MG TWICE DAILY, ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with AZMACORT, SEREVENT, ALBUTEROL, CLARITIN, SINGULAIR, ACIPHEX, SPIRIVA. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
