Female patient, 83 years of age, weighting 179.7 lb, was diagnosed with urinary tract infection  and was treated with Macrobid. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: asthenia, breath sounds abnormal, fatigue, lung infiltration, oxygen saturation decreased, pyrexia. Macrobid dosage: unknown. Patient recovered.

Female patient, 77 years of age, weighting 78.93 lb, was diagnosed with urinary tract infection  and was treated with Macrobid. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: activities of daily living impaired, collagen-vascular disease, dyspnoea, economic problem, fatigue, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, interstitial lung disease, oral intake reduced, pleural fibrosis. Macrobid dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with ZESTRIL, AZATHIOPRINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died.
