Female patient, 75 years of age, was diagnosed with irritable bowel syndrome  and was treated with Lotronex. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain , abdominal rebound tenderness, colitis ischaemic, diarrhoea haemorrhagic, nausea , pyrexia. Lotronex dosage: .5MG ALTERNATE DAYS. During the same period patient was treated with ESTROGEN REPLACEMENT. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
