Loperamide side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from on Feb 26, 2007. Female patient, 58 years of age, was diagnosed with diarrhoea, localised infection, hypothyroidism and was treated with Loperamide. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal distension, abdominal pain What is  abdominal pain, amoebic colitis, anorexia, colectomy, diarrhoea, diarrhoea haemorrhagic, gastrointestinal necrosis. Loperamide dosage: 2 MG Q6H X 12 DAYS. During the same period patient was treated with RIFAXIMIN, LEVOTHYROXINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
