Linezolid Side Effects Report #4686299-5
Linezolid side effect was reported by a Physician from on May 25, 2005. Female patient, 74 years of age, was diagnosed with enterococcal infection and was treated with Linezolid. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal discomfort, anaemia, lactic acidosis, lymphoproliferative disorder, mental status changes, nausea , platelet count decreased. Linezolid dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with ERTAPENEM. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Male patient, 54 years of age, weighting 162.0 lb, was diagnosed with enterococcal infection, depression  and was treated with Linezolid. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: aggression, candidiasis, disorientation, enterococcal infection, hallucination, mental status changes, muscle contractions involuntary, serotonin syndrome, speech disorder. Linezolid dosage: 600 MG BID PO. During the same period patient was treated with SERTRALINE, MYFORTIC, NEXIUM, PROGRAF, ZOLOFT, BACTRIM DS, AMOXICILLIN. Patient was hospitalized and became disabled. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: endocarditis , enterococcal infection, mental status changes, renal failure acute, thrombocytopenia, urosepsis. Linezolid dosage: 600MG Q 12 H INTRAVENOU. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: dysarthria, enterococcal infection, hypotension, mental status changes, pyrexia, somnolence, speech disorder, tachycardia, thought blocking. Linezolid dosage: 600 MG Q12HR IV. During the same period patient was treated with MIRTAZAPINE, CEFTAZIDIME, AZITHROMYCIN, ASCORBIC ACID, METHOCARBAMOL, DOCUSATE. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: agitation, autonomic nervous system imbalance, clonus, confusional state, diarrhoea, hallucination, visual, hyperreflexia, mental status changes, nausea . Linezolid dosage: 600 MG BID PO. During the same period patient was treated with SERTRALINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
